PIL-GRIM-AGE: (noun) A journey, esp. a long one made to some sacred place as an act of devotion
---Webster's Collegiate Dictionary
On the whole, I can think of no better word than pilgrimage to describe my trip to Japan where I finally achieved a longtime dream----to see the legendary Pink Lady in concert! And while Kanagawa Kenmin Hall in Yokohama can't be confused with say, Mecca, The Wailing Wall in Jerusalem or the Vatican in terms of sacred places, to me, it was holy ground, a site where I and nearly 3,000 other devoted fans, some younger than I, and others older than me came to worship and heap bottomless praises at the altar of our immortal J-Pop goddesses, Mie-chan and Kei-chan.
But, I'm getting ahead of myself. This page will chronicle my entire trip to Japan from August 22nd to August 29th, 2003, including all the sights I had seen in Tokyo, along with the concert itself in Yokohama on the 26th. Originally, this was going to be a once in a lifetime journey, but I had decided the day after the show that once would not be enough! Since Mie and Kei are going to be on tour in Japan until----get this----May 2005! In the meantime, on with the show!!!
